Moving to NYC is no easy feat, especially being 10 years old. My Mom and dad both got new jobs and it was away from my peaceful life in the country, there I could travel the woods, go swimming in the lake, play baseball with the neighborhood boys, hunt raccoons and birds, sleeping under the stars when I got permission for camping. Things are about to take a drastic turn in my life however. As mom and Dad got more influential and important in their jobs Daddy was required to move to NYC for bigger better paying position and Mom was able to transfer. I never really minded being an only child because I was never bored there was always someone outside to have an adventure or to just sit and talk to now I would truly be alone.
Now I was to live in a really nice apt complex on an island across from the big buildings decorating the distant NY skyline. Against all my objections we settle, and my new life begins. It was nice at first to go walking through the many hallways saying hi to the not so nice neighbors and meeting the local kids, well kid there was only Jake, 14 and all into his video games, we hung out but he seemed to like the internet and his console better than talking and adventure. It was the typical Tuesday morning Mom and Dad were already gone when I woke up at 9am. They were not able to find a babysitter yet and I objected anyways as I was a very good boy in my own opinion. We soon find out however good boys get in trouble too. It was time to explore!!!!
