"One shot, One kill" was said to be the motto of a sniper...
I'm not just any sniper, I'm a ghost - A psychically-gifted covert operative of the New Terran Confederation, capable of much more than any ordinary Ghost.
"Survive one day to live the next" is the motto that I follow...
My name?...
They erased that, along with my past life. I'm now known commonly as Ghost Epsilon 2387 or as my commander calls me, Code Name: Karbon...
I am the Hyperion Merarios' Tactical Sniper and Strategist...
And this is my story.......

I pulled by the bolt carefully before sliding the 5 round clip into the magazine, I lined up the sights and waited in the underbrush. The Arius suns baked the surface of the planet, mile-long crevices marked the landscape along with thousands of miles of underbrush that seemed to be the only source of vegetation...Great...it's hot and barely any cover, worst off were the black hordes of insects that found their way into his suit.
In the distance, he spotted the convoy..

He adjusted the sights of the scope and scanned over the hidden automated turrets on the upper levels of the canyon. The tires trends in the canyon suggested that the enemy used this path quite frequency. And intelligence from nearby Science Facilities provided the overhead intel as the convoy would travel down said path. He remember the report: 4 Terran Siege Class Mark E-112 Tanks, as well as 3 "Goliath" Combat walkers, and then just 4 convoy trucks. The tanks would be the vanguard of the convoy while the mobile Goliath could provide a spearhead to break past barriers, if need be...and each Convoy would carry about 4 squads composed of Marines and Medics. He did a quick calculation and figured that there was about a platoon of soldiers ready to deluge from the trucks if there was an attack.
Fortunately for him, he had stationed 3 heavy caliber sniper turrets around the route along with 2 Helldart missile turrets - one at the beginning of the narrow route and another one near his location, and then rest of the automated turrets were just the old Class - C Gauss machine gun turretswere in place around the middle of the route for taking out most, if not all of the men stationed in the trucks...
The strategy was simple, hit them hard and hit them unexpectedly. He placed death charges on overhead barrier that marked the beginning of the canyon that would cut off the retreat and hopefully take out the seige tanks. He hoped to box the convoy in and if worst would come to it - A fire strike would be called in and delivered by a nearby Wraith Squadron..pushing that out of his mind, he continued to stalk his prey as it was almost time to spring the trap....

"Hey Sarge! When are you going to change the music in here; I'm tired of listening to the constant blip of the radar?" whined the driver, as they traversed therocky ravine.
"Shut it. This is the only thing that keeps us alive here. Keep along the road!" The Sargeant grunted at the lowly corporal before switching the radar for the infrared scanner. With all the of heat being absorbed into the rocks, it was a stupid thing to do. No point for something like do to be turned on. Except for the fact of the radar went off. His eyes glanced up, and he fumbled as he picked up the radio. But it was too late, the white smoke trail from the rocket was seen and the target was straight on...
"Oh Shit!" said the Sargeant before cockpit of the Goliath exploded in a fiery ball of flames. The expolsion shook the overhead rocks and a deluge of gravel and rocks covered the front of the convoy.
